Isco: "We're hurt, we'll keep trying, we owe it to the Betis fans."

Betis let the Conference title slip away after going into the break in Wroclaw leading Chelsea with a goal from Abde. In the second half, Maresca's team unleashed their power and steamrolled Betis, turning the score around with a resounding 4-1 victory . The quality of Isco, one of the best players in the final, wasn't enough.

The Malaga native, after the match, summed up his feelings of being "hurt. In the end, the result is very heavy after what we saw in the first half. Football is unforgiving. Despite a good first half, they ran over us in the second... we had it close, we're hurt. In a European final, mistakes are very hard on you."

Along the same lines, he admitted that "we took refuge a bit in the scoreline, at 1-0, and they turned it around... the result is too big," he insisted.

Looking at the thousands of Betis fans in the Stadion Wrocław stands, Isco wanted to thank the fans, "We're very sad we couldn't give them this title. We'll keep trying. What these fans give us is incredible; it fuels us to keep trying. We owe them one, and we're sure we'll achieve it," he concluded.
